“Film Noir”



Film noir is a cinematic style that originated in the 1940s and 1950s, defined by its dark, moody, and often cynical tone. The term "noir," meaning "black" in French, reflects the genre’s focus on shadows, crime, and moral ambiguity. My project is inspired by Jacques Tourneur's film Out of the Past, where I take on the role of the investigator.
